Ancak Bleach ile ilgili sürpriz bir gelişme yaşandı. Shonen Jump, Bleach’e yeni bir başlık ekledi: Bleach – The Dagger, mangaya verilen bu arada çıkacak. Özel formatta ve 4 sayfadan oluşacak Bleach – The Dagger ile ilgili henüz hiçbir bilgi yok. İsmi nedeniyle ihaneti çağrıştırsa da bu proje, hikayeyi tamamlayıcı karakterlere ait bilgileri de içerebilir, Final Arc’ın özeti, farklı bir açıyla sunulması ya da başka bir şey olabilir. Görünüşe göre Kubo Sensei pek de boş durmuyormuş. Takipçilerin beklentileri daha çok Uryu ile ilgili bir hikaye olsa da Troll King’in ne yapcağını kim bilebilir?
